Project 7.1 - Black Invasion Bracelet Edition

Two days later, I decided to make the bracelet that will go with the earrings. Using black seed beads and elongated black beads, the bracelet was completed. The bracelet does not have any clasp or clamps to close it. It is spring like and has three layers to wrap it securely around the wrist. The advantage for this bracelet? Anyone can wear it regardless of the wrist size.
The finished set - earrings and bracelet. I ran out of the stones... so the necklace was not made. I guess, some of the stones are already lost.
But then, I am planning to look for a stone just like this so that I'd be able to complete the necklace too...hopefully I'd be able to find one.

Project 7 - Black Invasion

Brief history...I don't know what kind of stones are these. I only found it in my sister's jewelry box and was unused for a long time. Basically because the bracelet wires used had faded and the clasp had been broken. It was also a set- earrings, bracelet and necklace . So I decided to recycle it and used the stones. I love the blackness and shine quality and they never faded ever since I saw my sister worn them almost years ago. According to my mom, it was from my grandmother and was from Canada.

Using black seed beads and silver plated split rings and pin hooks as enhancers, I made this earring. I opted for the pin hooks because when I tried using the "fish" hooks, they almost drown the whole design and seemed like over decorated. So I settled for the pin hooks because it also complimented the stones.

There are still remaining stones so I made them into bracelet. The finished project will be posted in the next two days.

Project 5.1 - Pearl 'Y Eyes - Bracelet edition

Project 5 - Pearl 'Y Eyes
Remember these earrings in project 5 - Pearl 'Y Eyes? Pearls and cat's eyes in one earring...Now the bracelet is here. Using the same materials - pearls and cat's eyes, I have come up with this design of another accessory - the bracelet.
It is two layered bracelets, with golden beads in between the pearls. There are two ways in wearing this bracelet.

Pearls in Parallel Position.
One, wear it so the pearls are in parallel position.

Two, reverse wearing so that the pearls form ellipse shapes.

Project 6 - Golden Eyes

Project 6 - Golden Eyes
Another set of earrings...Though yellow was not my color, I love the design. Ellipse and cat's eyes with surrounding beads  on both side...I like the combination.
The earrings will go well with yellow, red and orange hues in clothing....I think so...

Project 4.1 - Cat's Eyes Evolution

Cat's eyes have really captivated my attention. Using the same materials, I have accessorized the project 4 and evolved it into a new one. I surrounded the cat's eyes with a touch of wires. The wires are made of copper insulated in plastic.

Why evolution? Remember the earring accessory in project 4?
Project 4 - Catch that Eyes
The cat's eyes were strewn with earring pinheads and hook to create a simple one.  In this evolved project, wires were used. Simplified to another simplified accessory and yet a new one...

Project 5 - Pearl 'Y Eyes

pearl y eyes
Pearls are one of the precious stones in South East Asia while cat's eyes is from India. Both are expensive to acquire if the gems are authentic and rare.
This accessory is one of my experiments and turned out simply beautiful. The pearls used are synthetic, though.
It just came to my mind when I saw the pearls and the cat's eyes lay side by side in my craft box. And voila...before I knew it, I was stringing pearls by pearls until I finished the earrings.
As much as I want authentic stones for this accessory, I still can't afford them. (wink..) Someday, those precious stones will invade my accessories box.

Project 4 - Catch that Eyes

cat's eyes used in this project
When I was shopping for beads for my next project, I saw these strands and instantly I said that those will be next in my accessories box. So the following day, I went back to the accessories store and bought the beads. When I saw the description, I wondered why it was called "Cat's Eyes." Also, I remembered some one was looking for a larger cat's eyes. So I did my research and found out that cat's eyes is one of the gemstone in India. (You may visit this site for more details about cat's eyes.)

Upon reaching home when I bought these accessories, I immediately turned them into earrings. Here they are, my simple cat's eyes accessories.

Project 3 - Wood 'En Hearts

February is love month. And most probably, every one is planning a memorable date for their special someone, thinking of a nice jewelry or accessory to give as a gift, or planning a vacation somewhere to spend the 14th.

wood 'en hearts
With romance in the air as my theme, I made this another set of earrings to compliment the month. The colors are still bright and bubbly. The materials used are wooden beads and a touch of wires to complete the design of the accessory.

Glass beads and precious stones (semi or real) will invade my accessories box in the coming projects. I just haven't found the right materials that catch my attention. Watch out for them!

Project 2 - Wood 'En Pearls

Earrings are always a part of girls "kikay"* kit or accessory box. I am no exception. I remembered I used to wear them when I was younger. However as I was growing up, I lose interest on jewelries and all other accessories. Basically, because all of them are very typical or most probably they don't suit my own preferences. And voila...I have decided to make my own and accessorize my own accessories.

The materials used in this project.
These earrings are my first creations in hand-crafted accessories. They're simple but they reflect the real me. They are made from wooden beads and synthetic materials.
They're colorful and a little girlish, more for the teens. I maybe old in age, I am still young at heart.
They were trials and I found out that making them is a lot easier than I think of.

Project 1 - Skyblue Headband

I bought this headband (the picture above) a year ago and I've been using it that long. It's just a plain and simple just like me. However, there are times that I get out of my box and do something out of the ordinary, that is... for me. I just saw this button in the store and supposedly should be used in my scrapbooks but I ended up accessorizing my accessories...And voila...the button accessorized my accessories and thus my project 1 evolved. I got myself a new accessory and yet an old one...Whatever.. so from these materials: a button and smallish glittery heart accessories; my sky blue headband became a sky blue headband accessorized with buttons and smallish glittery hearts.
Here it is the finished and enhanced headband. A new and yet an old one...
